Homecare - Asphyxiated Skin
In asphyxiated skin cells do not receive the proper oxygen or nutrition and the waste materials are not carried away from the cells efficiently, hence the cells that are being produced are not as healthy as they should be. Since oxygen is need for cell energy, ingredients that increase oxygen are required to stimulate cell respiration. It should be noted that whenever oxygen is increased in the skin, antioxidants must accompany the treatment in order to counter act free radical damage. The causes are mature and sun damaged skin, illness, smoking and city dwellers.
Examples of asphyxiated skin include a dull lifeless complexion and the skin often appears sallow or grey.
Morning & Evening Program
MASK. (Morning only) When you apply a mask, your body’s response is to produce fluids that come up and push the mask off. Whether your skin is oily or dry, this excess fluid hydrates the surface cell layers, which are normally less than 10% moisture. The suppler these layers are the healthier functioning the skin is. The fluids also put pressure on the pores to help purge clogged pores. When you scrub, you’ll not only be removing the mask, you will also be sloughing off dead skin cells which will help keep your pores clean and allow your skin to absorb treatment products. Apply to the face, neck and decollette for 5 - 15 minutes and remove using the recommended scrub.
SCRUB. (Morning only) The scrub is used to remove the mask which in turn removes impurities and dead skin cells on a daily basis. Apply the scrub into the palm of the hands add a little bit of water and use to remove mask in circular motions rinsing off with lukewarm water.
CLEANSE. (Evening only) We cleanse the skin to effectively remove make up, surface grime and debris. This enables for a better penetration of products to follow. Apply cleanser to damp skin, work into the skin using circular motions and remove with water & sponges.
TONE. We tone the skin to remove surface oils and debris, leaving the skin clean, soft and well prepared for the application and penetration of treatment products.Apply by spraying the skin lightly all over and blot dry.
TREATMENT. Apply any recommended speciality serum. Our treatment products are designed to address your specific skin care concerns / conditions. Apply 1-2 pumps to the face, neck and decollette. These products are absorbed quickly in to the skin enabling the moisturiser to follow immediately.
Best Option
Cheaper Option
HYDRATE. The skin’s internal moisturizing system contains oils (lipids) that hold water (moisture) between the skin cells. Both are needed to restore moisture and keep skin soft, flexible and firm. Without such a balance, the beauty of the skin is impaired. Within our duo-moisture system, the Gels replenish the skin with needed moisture (water) while the creams hold the moisture in. Each of our Gels and Creams are specifically formulated for each skin type, giving just the right balance to the skin. Apply 1-2 pumps to the face, neck and decollette.
MOISTURISE. Apply the recommended moisturiser. Moisturising locks moisture and any treatment products in to the skin increasing hydration levels and protecting the skins barrier. Apply to the face, neck and decollette and gently massage in to the skin.
PROTECT. (Morning Only) It is imperative that you use a good sunscreen every day to protect the skin from the irritating and ageing effects of UV rays. Apply a small amount of sunscreen to the face, neck and decollette on top of the moisturiser. FACT -50% of the UVA rays (Ageing rays) can penetrate through cloud, glass and clothing. This is why sunscreen is important all year round.
